Our Guide - God's Word

"His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire."

2 Peter 1:3-4

Treasuring the Bible

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Psalms 119:105

___________________________

It is in the bible where God has revealed Himself and His love throughout time.  He also reveals His plan to redeem us through the sacrifice Jesus made, showing us the love of God.

In His word we discover His design for how life is to be lived: our walk as disciples, our families and the church He built.  This is our only guide for life and living.

quote-left

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul;

the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;

the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;

the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;

the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;

the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold;

sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.

Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalm 19:7-11

Reading & Studying Together

Timothy is told to commit to reading scripture together.

With that in mind, we have an emphasis on reading together during our assemblies.  Also, those of us who are available read together online on weekday mornings.

Since the bible is our source for guidance to understand God and His design for us, we spend time during our assemblies in study together in classes for all ages from children to adult.

We also have more informal studies in smaller groups and in community settings.
