A Little About the Inver Grove Church of Christ

 

The Basics

We are a group of simple, New Testament Christians meeting in Inver Grove Heights who are trying to be like the church that you read about in the Bible.  We shun man-made doctrines, church politics, and too much emphasis upon money as these things displease the Lord.  We believe that you will find us to be Christ-centered and truth loving.

 

We Have Great Bible Classes

We have Bible-centered classes, from the pre-school age to adult.  Our teachers are dedicated and invest a great amount of time, attention, faith and love in leading our children in the adventures and joy of learning God's word.

 

We Are Building Faith and Friendships

This congregation is a spiritual family that is striving to provide mutual support and love; an environment of caring and involvement that goes far beyond our meeting place.  We believe that one of God's richest blessings is that of godly friendship.

 

Not Denominational

Like the original church described in the New Testament, we are independent and not part of a larger denomination.  Jesus prayed that his followers would be one (John 17:21), and we try to do our part by not putting up sectarian boundaries.  We believe that the world needs unity, not more division.

 

The Authority of the Bible

Jesus wanted people to know the truth about God - a truth untainted by man-made traditions and opinion (Matt. 15:1-4).  We want to have unity in doctrine, liberty in opinion, and love in all things.  We encourage people to respect what the Bible says.

 

Scriptural Leadership

Our congregation is over-seen by a plurality of elders and deacons, just as the New Testament teaches (1 Tim. 3:1-13).  They attain this privilege through a lifetime of dedication and helping others.  You will find them to be approachable and understanding.

 

Where You Are Welcome

We would be delighted to have you worship with us this Sunday.  You will not be solicited for money, but you will be encouraged by the presence of cheerful people who will see the best in you. 

 

 

Schedule of Worship
9:30 AM Sunday morning Bible classes, 10:30 AM worship. Sunday evening worship at 5:00 PM. Wednesday Bible classes and prayer at 7:00 PM.
